More info on Devin:

As a native Pennsylvanian, Devin Tuel has established herself on the East Coast as a folk singer/songwriter by performing in venues such as, The Bitter End in New York City, participating in the "New York Singer Songwriter Sessions", and playing intimate theatres throughout Philadelphia, including Steel City Coffee House in Phoenixville. She has been compared to the likes of Joan Baez, and Joni Mitchell, with the power of Bonnie Raitt as her voice is a rich range of crisp and floating vibrato through which she showcases her poignant and personal lyrics.

Growing up in Pennsylvania surrounded by winding country roads and lush trees, Devin quickly took to writing poetry to describe the beauty of her hometown. Music has always been a part of Devin’s life; she spent long hours singing and learning guitar with her father. Her southern ancestry and love for traditional folk music became a large part of her musical style as she began writing her own songs. Devin moved to New York City in 2008, to attend a small liberal arts college. During that time she felt moved and inspired by the vast array of people and experiences that filled the city, but longed for her woodland upbringings leading her to write some of her most honest and heartfelt music to date.

Now back in the Philadelphia area, Devin has just released her first EP, ‘Heavy Soul’. A collection of five songs that transcended from folk beginnings and once paired with melancholy emotions of her trials in love and loss, gave way for a grittier alternative folk rock. ‘Heavy Soul’ has begun Devin’s career with a resonating bang.

Devin is currently touring with shows throughout the East Coast, including a recent set on the mainstage at Maysie's FarmFest in rural PA.

Devin has also just released a collection of demos titled Crimson Rose, which feature several new songs, her and a guitar. They were recorded in Pennsylvania in the home of sound engineer, Jennifer Pague.
